An April storm delivered enough punch to SET SNOWFALL RECORDS FOR THE DATE in Milwaukee and Madison. Milwaukee accumulated 5.6 inches of snow through 3 p.m., enough to top the previous mark for April 11, set in 1997. Madison had 4.7 inches by the same time, again enough to best the record set in '97. A snowstorm that spanned April 8 and 9, in 1973, dumped 13 inches in Madison and a foot in Milwaukee, with wind gusts above 50 mph.
