Severe Storm Warnings: USAMarch 1, 2007
State College, PA - A storm coming out of the Rockies will produce severe storms across eastern Kansas into Missouri and Arkansas late today and through tonight, The real danger in this situation is for large and destructive tornadoes to occur overnight while folks are sleeping. That same storm will produce blizzard conditions across northern Iowa into Minnesota Thursday into Thursday night.
Similar to this past weekend, the major snowstorm over the Upper Midwest will be accompanied by severe thunderstorms over the South. According to our Severe Weather Center, the clash of warm, moist air with colder air following the storm will spark intense thunderstorms across the South. Some places under the threat of the destructive storms are still picking up the pieces from Saturday's tornadoes. The main threat for tornadoes will be across Alabama and Mississippi, while across Ilinois and Indiana, a line of storms with damaging winds and hail will move through Thursday.
